How To Clean French Windows

I’m guessing you want to know how to clean French windows with a squeegee. Cleaning French windows is a long tedious process and if you do too many at once it has a tendency to drive you mad.

The best way to clean French windows is to have someone else do it. I would recommend hiring a professional although if you have a lot of these windows it might get pricy. Like I said above cleaning french windows is a tedious chore and will take a lot of patience and time to master. Below I have added a couple of videos with guys demonstrating their techniques on how to clean French windows.

The trick is to have a squeegee that is the exact size of each small pane so that you can eliminate your strokes to one for each little pane. The window cleaning tool manufactures such as Ettore, Sorbo, Unger, etc. do make various sizes of squeegees but some times you cannot find an exact size that will match your French windows. When this is the case for me I will buy a separate squeegee channel/bar (make sure that it is the same brand that matches the squeegee handle) and cut it with a hack saw to match the size of the French windows that are to be cleaned. You will also have to trim the squeegee rubber to the size of the channel as well. You can also get a fancy Sorbo squeegee that lets you do two panes with one swipe just as the guy in the second video demonstrates.
